The goal of RLT’s Education Program provides high-quality theatre arts instruction in a safe nurturing environment.
RLT is dedicated to the belief that theatre training promotes self-esteem, builds confidence, stimulates creativity, sharpens communication skills, fosters an appreciation of team work, raises cultural awareness, celebrates diversity, encourages respect for self and others and lays the foundation for a lifelong love of the arts. The study of theatre not only trains students to be better actors, it inspires them to be better people.

Welcome to summer! Our one-week and two-week camps focus on the process of creating theatre through fun, imaginative, nurturing creative play and ensemble building. Our summer conservatory programs for ages 14-18, Teens On Stage and Teens Backstage, give serious theatre students the opportunity for in-depth exploration in theatre performance and production. Come join the fun!
The RLT Youth Education Program offers year-round instruction for students ages 2-18 with classes taught by some of the best instructors in Raleigh. RLT youth classes do not require previous experience to participate and all classes culminate in an Open Classroom or Sharing of the students’ work for family and friends. Come join the fun!

Our adult acting classes and week-long intensives are designed to develop theatrical skills featured in our season productions to prepare participants for the stage in a safe and nurturing environment. Our adult classes are all taught by local theatre professionals…
