Julia Rodriguez joined Raleigh Little Theatre in August 2023 as the Associate Costume Shop Manager. Prior to, Julia worked at Perfect Fit Tailoring in Knightdale, honing her tailoring techniques under the skilled direction of the owner. She came to Raleigh in 2022 having moved from the Atlanta area/surrounding area where she obtained her B.A. in Costume Design and Technology in Film and Theatre from Brenau University. During her collegiate studies, Julia received professional experience through the Gainesville Theatre Alliance, a theatre partnered with the university’s educational program, holding a variety of positions within the costume shop and on the wardrobe crew.

On a more personal note, Julia is a music lover and by extension musicals. Her favorites are The Phantoms of the Opera, Evil Dead the Musical, Falsettos, Cabaret, and Pippin. Julia loves to read, watch scary movies, go plant shopping, and go on a run. She frequents conventions of every form and fashion including Dragon Con, Animazement, and Galaxycon.

During her time with RLT, Julia hopes to continue to learn, grow, and bring theatre to her new community with her love of costuming.
