Movies in the Garden ’19
Join us this summer as we present five FREE outdoor movies on Thursdays in July & August! All movies will be held in the Stephenson Amphitheatre next to the Raleigh Rose Garden.
Movies in the Garden is a family-friendly event, showing movies that are rated G, PG and PG-13. Concessions (including cold adult beverages provided by Raleigh Brewing) will be available for purchase. Food trucks will be at each show. Please, no outside alcohol, as this is a city park, but feel free to bring cushions/blankets/chairs. Looking for parking tips? Download the Hillsborough Street App!
We’ll announce the winner of our Best Animated Feature Poll and the full movie line up on April 30th.

Attending a performance in the Amphitheatre
You are welcome to bring your own dinner, however since the amphitheatre is part of a City of Raleigh park, please adhere to these rules:
- No open flames or candles (including citronella candles)
- No glass bottles allowed
- Only beer and wine purchased from our vendor may be brought into the amphitheatre.
- The theatre reserves the right to check coolers for outside alcohol
- Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a leash and be well-behaved
Bringing blankets or chairs makes seating more comfortable. Lawnchairs or the folding chairs that come in a bag work well. There is grass between the concrete benches and chairs fit well in that space.
Indoor restroom facilities, which are wheelchair accessible, are available at the Main Stage lobby entrance. Port-a-potties, which are also wheelchair accessible, are located to the left of the stage near the ramp.
The RLT parking lot will only be open to vehicles with disability parking placards. The RLT staff parking lot is only for drop off of patrons with wheelchairs or mobility issues – no parking. You may park on the street where signposted.
Tickets: Free (no ticket required)
All movies start at 8:30pm and concessions and food trucks will open at 7:00pm.
Let us know you’re coming on our Facebook Event page!
All movies are wheelchair accessible. Drop off for patrons in wheelchairs is in the staff lot adjacent to the Rose Garden, which is accessible from the intersection of Pogue & Everett Streets.
