Movies in the Garden: Coco

October 30, 2020

RLT’s Louise “Scottie” Stephenson Amphitheatre (General Admission)

We are excited to bring back Movies in the Garden for a pre-Halloween family-friendly celebration! Join us as we present Disney-Pixar’s Coco in the Stephenson Amphitheatre, next to the Raleigh Rose Garden.

Coco
Rating: PG
Start time: 7:00 PM
Runtime: 1h, 50min

A boy journeys into the Land of the Dead to seek forgiveness from his ancestors and lift a curse.

The Gym Tacos food truck will be open from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. RLT’s concession stand will be closed during the event, but adult beverages and bottled water will be sold on-site by Raleigh Brewing. Picnics and non-alcoholic drinks are welcome! Please see the detailed rules below regarding what can be brought in.

With the recent move into Phase 3 of reopening, we are happy to host up to 100 guests for this event. The movie will be screened outside to a small, socially distanced audience in the Stephenson Amphitheatre. Tickets are general admission, but we will have areas marked off for seating to ensure proper social distancing. Masks are required in public spaces but can be removed once you are in your “seating pod.” If you need to leave your seating area, please make sure your mask is back on. A ticket is required for all patrons, regardless of age. More information about event safety related to COVID-19 coming soon.

Attending a performance in the Amphitheatre

Since the amphitheatre is part of a City of Raleigh park, please adhere to the following rules:

  • You are welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Only beer and wine purchased on site may be brought into the amphitheatre
  • No open flames or candles (including citronella candles)
  • No glass bottles allowed
  • The theatre reserves the right to check coolers for outside alcohol
  • Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a leash and be well-behaved

Bringing blankets or chairs makes seating more comfortable. Lawn chairs or folding chairs work well. There is grass between the concrete benches, and chairs fit well in that space.

Indoor restroom facilities, which are wheelchair accessible, are available at the Main Stage lobby entrance. Porta-johns, which are also wheelchair accessible, are located to the left of the stage near the ramp.

The RLT parking lot will only be open to vehicles with disability parking placards. The RLT staff parking lot is only for drop off of patrons with wheelchairs or mobility issues – no parking. You may park on the street where signposted.
