RLT’s annual Cantey Awards night was held on Tuesday, June 25, in the Cantey V. Sutton Theatre. The Canteys are held each year in celebration of the completion of a season and to acknowledge all of the hard work of our volunteers. Performance awards have been presented at Raleigh Little Theatre every year since the 1949-50 season. In the 1975-76 season, the name of the award was changed from “Oscar” to “Cantey” in honor of Mrs. Cantey Venable Sutton, the Grand Dame of Raleigh Little Theatre.

The event featured performances by Jessica Landwehr (Curtains), Mason Miller (Nate the Great), and Michael Blake and Jesse Kirkfarmer (Kinky Boots).
