RLT’s 2026-2027 Season

03/12/2026

Welcome to RLT’s 2026-2027 Season!

Welcome to our 2026-2027 season and our 90th year! In a world that moves quickly and can often keep us apart, RLT is a place with a rich history spread across generations. It’s a place where we can connect, listen, laugh, and recognize ourselves in one another. It is a joy to do this work!

We open with the Clue: High School Edition. If you enjoyed seeing our Teens on Stage/Teens Backstage production of Hadestown, wait until you witness Clue! We then continue our season with the joyful spirit of Hairspray, a celebration of inclusion, courage, and the power of young voices to create change. This fall, we present Tom Stoppard’s Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead in tribute to one of theatre’s great minds who we lost in 2025. Our Family Series reflects our commitment to theatre across generations and to creating exciting opportunities for young people to grow as students and artists. Finally, we will close the season with a Tony Award-winning musical that we cannot reveal just yet, but I promise it will be worth the wait.

All of this happens through dedicated collaboration by our artists, volunteers, staff, and supporters working side by side, sharing time, talent, and belief in something worth getting right. Their generosity, and your presence in the audience, make RLT a place of belonging for so many. Thank you and I look forward to sharing the season with you!

Warmly,

Michele Weathers
Producing Artistic Director

P.S. Guess what? Evening curtain times are now 7:30pm!

Acclaimed as a modern dramatic masterpiece, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead is the fabulously inventive tale of Hamlet as told from the worm’s-eye view of the bewildered Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, two minor characters in Shakespeare’s play. In the late Tom Stoppard’s best-known work, this Shakespearean Laurel and Hardy finally get a chance to take the lead role, but do so in a world where echoes of Waiting for Godot resound, where reality and illusion intermix, and where fate leads our two heroes to a tragic but inevitable end.
