The Midnight Dreary Festival

October 27 - November 6, 2020

Virtual (General Admission)

This October, RLT will celebrate the work of Edgar Allan Poe through a series of readings and a festival of work created by the community entitled The Midnight Dreary Festival: Community Interpretations of Edgar Allan Poe.

The Readings

The Midnight Dreary Festival features radio drama readings of four of Edgar Allan Poe’s most chilling short stories, read and directed by local artists. The featured stories will be released online one by one each night October 27-30 – just in time for Halloween! Access links will be sold thru November 6, and ticketholders will be able to listen as often as they’d like thru November 9.

Access the program for The Midnight Dreary Festival by texting the word “Program” to 919-373-6060 or clicking here (program is optimized for viewing on your phone).

Ticket Information

Tickets on sale now thru November 6!

How it works:

Links to the four radio plays will be emailed out each night at 5pm between October 27-30. Purchasing a ticket provides access to all four short stories, and you’ll get a new email each night.

If you purchase after October 27, you will receive access to any releases you may have missed. Tickets will be sold until November 6 – anyone who purchases a ticket after October 30 will receive access to all four radio plays at once.

Ticketholders will be able to listen to all four radio plays as often as they’d like thru November 9. After that date, you will no longer be able to access the radio plays.

Tickets are sold on a pay-what-you-can basis, starting at $5. We kindly ask that you consider how many people will be listening with you when deciding on how much to pay. We appreciate your support!
