Come From Away tells the remarkable true story of a small town that welcomed the world. On September 11, 2001, 38 planes carrying nearly 7,000 passengers were unexpectedly grounded in Gander, Newfoundland, nearly doubling the town’s population overnight. As fear and uncertainty gripped the world, the people of Gander opened their homes, hearts, and community to stranded travelers from across the globe. Filled with soaring music, humor, and humanity, this critically acclaimed musical celebrates the power of community and the extraordinary kindness that can emerge in the face of tragedy.
