Journey into the Forest of Arden for a site-specific, outdoor production of William Shakespeare’s As You Like It, a comedy that explores the rollercoaster of falling in love. When Rosalind is banished from her uncle’s court, she flees to the Forest of Arden. Disguised as a man, she encounters Orlando, her love interest, in the forest. While in disguise, Rosalind becomes Orlando’s teacher, instructing him how to woo the real Rosalind.

By William Shakespeare

Directed by Meredyth Pederson Cooper

Presented by RLT’s Teens on Stage and Teens Backstage. Learn more about the TOS/TBS Program.

Access the program for As You Like It by texting the word “Shakespeare” to 919-373-6060 or clicking here (program is optimized for viewing on your phone).

Masks are not required for attending outdoor productions. However, due to the limited audience size and need for closer proximity in the amphitheatre and rose garden, we are not able to guarantee social distancing while seated. You may be seated close to someone not in your party, so it is best to bring a mask with you in case it would make you or those around you more comfortable. A Unique Audience Experience!

Audiences for this production will begin seated in the Stephenson Amphitheatre but will move into the adjacent Raleigh Rose Garden approximately 30 minutes into the show. Because you will be moving, we encourage you to pack light! Where we typically encourage bringing chairs and blankets with you for events in the amphitheatre, we actually recommend keeping them at home for this one. There will be benches and chairs set up in the rose garden for the second portion of the show. You will not be returning to the amphitheatre after making the move, so anything you set up or brought with you will need to move with you into the rose garden.

We will have basic seat cushions available to bring between the two seating locations. If you choose to bring your own chair for your comfort (the seating in the amphitheatre and most of the seating in the garden will not have backs), we will have some limited space in the rose garden for patrons to set up their own seating. Please follow signage or ask a volunteer where to set up your chair during the transition, and they will help you!

Please email BoxOffice@RaleighLittleTheatre.org if you have specific accessibility needs, and we will do everything in our power to accommodate them.
