Our Staff

Ruthie Martinez is a lifelong theatre educator and actress. She has a BA in Biology and Drama from UNC-Chapel Hill and an MFA in Acting and Directing from UNC-Greensboro. She is also a certified K-12 instructor in Theatre Arts and Speech, and is certified to teach Meisner acting technique. She has previously taught drama K-12 and has taught at multiple community colleges, Salem College and Appalachian State University. Her longest tenure was as the Director of Fine and Performing Arts and the Upper School theatre instructor and director at Greensboro Day School for over 20 years. Ruthie loves to perform and direct, most recently directing the 40th Anniversary production of Cinderella at RLT.
