Our Staff

Anne Knight is excited to be a part of Raleigh Little Theatre’s teaching staff. She has worked as a theater professor, director, actor, and visual artist. She earned her MFA from the University of Georgia. In Chicago, she worked as a professional actor and director with several theater companies, including the Neo-Futurists, Defiant Theater, and Prop Theater. She also went through the improv and writing programs at Second City. More recently she was involved with The Pit Improv Theater in Chapel Hill. In Raleigh, Anne has also worked as a liaison for United Arts, supporting local artists who create murals at elementary schools. Anne has taught theater and acting with Wake Tech for the past three years. In her original curriculum, she highlights the unique, ephemeral qualities of live performance, potential careers in theater, and how theater can tell stories previously untold. As a teacher, Anne focuses on how theater is a team sport. How can actors show up and support one another on stage? How do cast and crew work together on multiple levels? Directing students during class and in productions is a joy, but she finds it even more rewarding when she can see students collaborating and coming together as a community.
