First Lady Kristin Cooper Hosts RLT’s Donor Appreciation Dinner at Executive Mansion

06/07/2019

On Tuesday, June 4th, Kristin Cooper, First Lady of North Carolina hosted RLT’s annual Fitz-Simons Society Dinner at the Executive Mansion near downtown Raleigh. This society was started in 2011 in order to recognize the Theatre’s most generous supporters, encourage investment in strategic initiatives and to honor RLT’s longtime artistic director, Haskell Fitz-Simons.

34 supporters and staff were welcomed to the Executive Mansion by Mrs. Cooper, who served on RLT’s board from 2012-18 and currently is a member of the Advisory Board. The evening started with a cocktail reception and an informal tour of the galleries, and concluded with a three course meal prepared with ingredients from the on-site garden. The Executive Mansion is the official residence of the Governor of North Carolina and his family.
