Olivia Ashley is a researcher and idealistic liberal with an advanced degree in (mostly other people’s) sexual risk behavior, substance abuse, and violence. When she’s not extolling her love for scientific rigor and evidence-based public policy, she tends to a construction worker and their strapping son, formerly feral cat, and messy house that won’t clean itself. Olivia has appeared in multiple stage roles that explore hilariously uncomfortable situations, family dysfunction, and grudging acceptance. She’s currently cooking up more ways to freak you out and make you laugh until you cry.
Ashlyn is a preschool teacher in Downtown Raleigh who loves singing, coffee and her puppy, Bean. She moved to Raleigh a year ago and this is her first show with Raleigh Little Theatre! She is excited to be part of a production that gives back to the theatre and community. Although this is her first production at RLT, she has participated in theatre as a performer and stage manager in high school and college.
After a 16 year absence from the RLT DIVA stage, I told my dad that for the DIVAS! 2020 competition I’d sing Body and Soul, and said, “You’re destined to be the DIVA. That song is the reason you exist.” He told me that in 1950, he invited my mom to his fraternity party. He had added a 45 recording of Coleman Hawkins “Body and Soul” to the fraternity jukebox. They danced to that song and he told me, “That was it!” They married and 8 years later I, the DIVA, was born!

Is married to Superman!❤️ 6. Is a 3rd time Divas competitor 7. Was Divas! 2019 1st Runner Up! 8. Graduated from UNC & Duke; any fans? 9. Loves RLT and the arts! 10. Is old-fashioned so you’ll get a real thank you card!
Kelsey Lyons is a native North Carolinian, fluent in sarcasm, and is delighted to be making her debut on stage with Raleigh Little Theatre. She’s really excited to get out there on stage and impress the audience in her first of hopefully many shows, and with your help, become the next Diva!
Elena Montero Mulligan was last seen at RLT in West Side Story in Concert. She holds degrees in Theatre (MT Concentration) and Biology from Meredith College. She is a Research Technician at UNC and teaches at Bach 2 Rock Apex. Previous credits include Jo in Little Women (North Raleigh School of Music), Mrs. Draper in Strike up the Band (White Iris Light Opera), and Virginia Poe in Strange City of Edgar Allan Poe (Sonorous Road).
Aliza Schrage is 15 and thrilled to be the youngest Diva ever. This will be her first production at RLT in 6 years, her first being Rutherford Wolf at just 9 years old. Being in Divas! and being able to fundraise for RLT means a lot to her because of what RLT has done for her. She was always a very loud and expressive child, so when she broke her knee and couldn’t participate in her summer camps she was really upset. She had nowhere to put her energy, but that changed when she did her first camp at RLT. She had the absolute best time ever at the camp. She felt so included and welcomed even with her broken knee. It gave her an outlet to be bold and be herself and she found her passion in life. She loves and supports everything RLT does, like never turning a child away from a class just because they couldn’t pay. She is proud to raise money for RLT.
Noah is really excited to make his RLT debut in Divas! 2020. He is an NC State graduate who participated in the theatre program during his time there and has taken several classes at RLT in many aspects of musical theatre such as acting, singing, and dancing. He thanks his friends and family for supporting his dream.
LaToya Smith is a classically trained Opera singer. She received her training at UNC-Wilmington. She started working with Raleigh Little Theatre in 2013 when she performed in Cinderella. She was then in Crowns, Sister Act, and this is her second year participating in Divas! LaToya loves children and she loves to volunteer so the best part of Divas! is that she gets to help a child go to summer camp at RLT. During Divas! 2019 LaToya was pregnant with her first child…little Diva Alicia JoLeen. With that being said, she would like to dedicate this performance to all the mothers.

Karen Morgan Williams is thrilled to be part of DIVAS! 2020 for Raleigh Little Theatre with this amazing cast and crew. Karen has performed with many theatres in the area, but always finds her way home. Past RLT credits include Cinderella XXXI and Measure for Measure. Karen would like to thank her daughters Tara (2018 Cantey Award winner – Don’t Dress for Dinner) and Brett (2017 Cantey Award nominee – Avenue Q) for their continued support.
