The 2026 Cantey Awards
Celebrate the completion of RLT’s 2025-2026 season! Join us as we reflect on the accomplishments of our hardworking and dedicated volunteers over the past year.
The event will take place in RLT’s Gaddy-Goodwin Theatre and is free and open to the public.

Join us for our annual season celebration and volunteer awards event, the Cantey Awards. This year’s Canteys will be a mix-and-mingle event in the Gaddy Theatre and lobby with ice cream and community!
Performance awards have been presented at Raleigh Little Theatre every year since the 1949-50 season. In the 1975-76 season, the name of the award was made “Cantey” in honor of Mrs. Cantey Venable Sutton, the Grand Dame of Raleigh Little Theatre. In keeping with recent years, we will be celebrating each show from the 25-26 season. Volunteer Award winners will also be announced during the event.
