RLT’s annual Cantey Awards night was held on Tuesday, June 24, in the Cantey V. Sutton Theatre. The Canteys are held each year in celebration of the completion of a season and to acknowledge all of the hard work of our volunteers. Performance awards have been presented at Raleigh Little Theatre every year since the 1949-50 season. In the 1975-76 season, the name of the award was changed from “Oscar” to “Cantey” in honor of Mrs. Cantey Venable Sutton, the Grand Dame of Raleigh Little Theatre.
