Auditions: Divas! 2025
Raleigh Little Theatre is seeking performers aged 18+ for its upcoming 19th annual fundraising cabaret, Divas! This show will be presented in the Cantey V. Sutton Theatre.
About the show
Divas! is RLT’s most successful fundraising event. It is a one night only, concert style performance by ten stellar performers, our Divas. DIVAS! originated with a small group of volunteers that thought a fake competition among some of RLT’s star performers in a cabaret style show would be a fun fundraiser. The twist is that the audience votes for their favorite Diva with a donation to the theatre in the “Diva’s” name. At the end of the evening, whichever Diva has raised the most money is crowned RLT DIVA! If you don’t feel like you can fundraise, never fear, there will be training sessions and helpful guides on how to be a successful fundraiser.
Each Diva will perform one solo and one duet with another Diva of a Broadway/Cabaret style song as well as two group numbers with all the other Divas. They will have the opportunity to contribute to other Divas’ songs as backup singers or dancers.
The fundraising begins as soon as the cast is announced, and at the end of the one night only performance, the Diva who has raised the most money through the whole production process will be crowned RLT’s DIVA! 2025.
Important dates
Audition Information Session: Tuesday, February 18, 2025 (Tuesday) 7-8pm [Register on Zoom here]
- This optional information session will include an overview of the audition process, forms, and guidance on how to prepare. This is a great session to attend if you have never auditioned for a show before, never volunteered at RLT, or if you would like to hear more from the creative team about the process and event.
General Auditions: February 24, 2025 (Monday) and February 25, 2025 (Tuesday) 7pm-10pm
Cast List: February 26, 2025 (Wednesday) by 5pm
Rehearsals: March 17 – April 6, 2025; Sundays 4-7pm, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 7-10pm
Tech dress rehearsals: April 7 – 10, 2025 (Monday through Wednesday); Call: 6:30pm, Run: 7:30pm
Preview: April 11, 2025 (Friday); Call: 6:30pm, Show: 7:30pm
Performance: April 12, 2025 (Saturday); Call: 6pm, Show: 7:30pm
About the roles
Raleigh Little Theatre encourages singers of any gender, ethnicity, identity, ability, etc. to audition for Divas! 2025. The cast will comprise 10 Divas. Open to performers aged 18+.

All auditionees should arrive ten minutes before the time they are signed up to help with check in. There are TWO general audition days. You need only attend ONE.
Please prepare 16 – 32 bars of a Broadway/Cabaret style song. Please bring your own sheet music in the key you want to sing it in. An accompanist will be provided by the theatre but will not do transpositions. Please do not perform a cappella.
You will also have a short interview about any fundraising experience or ideas you may have. The interview WILL NOT be a determining factor in casting.

In addition to the paperwork, please email Cari@nullRaleighLittleTheatre.org with a recent picture of yourself by 4pm on Monday, February 24. The purpose of the picture is to help the director remember your amazing performance during auditions, so an informal picture is ideal, as long as it shows who you are and is recent.

Examples of accommodations made in the past are: wheelchair accessible audition space, large print materials, prompters in the audition room, volunteers to help fill out forms, and auditions by appointment.
