About the show

DIVAS! is RLT’s most successful fundraising event. 2018 will be our 12th year. It is a one night only concert style performance by twelve of RLT’s finest performers. It is a fundraiser, so there will be training sessions and helpful guides on how to be a successful fundraiser. The idea is to get everyone in the world that you know, to donate to RLT in your name. Fundraising will start once we announce the cast and at the end of the one-night-only performance, whichever DIVA has raised the most money will be crowned RLT DIVA! 2018. You will receive a huge beautiful crown (male or female), flowers, a gift bag and RLT’s undying gratitude.

About the roles

DIVAS! is open to performers of all genders 18 years of age and up. There are 12 DIVA slots available. All DIVAS have the opportunity to sing two Broadway style songs, participate in two group numbers as well as participate in other DIVAS’ performances as backup singers/dancers etc. A good sense of humor and an open mind are a necessity. No fund raising skills necessary…we will train you and help you be a dynamic fund raising DIVA!

About the auditions

Please sign up for an audition slot.

Please prepare 16 – 32 bars of a Broadway/Cabaret style song. PLEASE NO POP, DISNEY or MOVIE songs. You must bring your own sheet music, and an accompanist will be provided by the theatre. Please do not perform a cappella unless that is how the song you will perform was originally written. You will be asked to sing something with accompaniment even if you sing a cappella. This should be one of the two songs you would like to sing in the show.

You will also have a short interview with the DTF (DIVAS! Task Force) about why you would like to be considered to be a DIVA and what RLT means to you etc.

If callbacks are necessary, the callback list will be posted on the RLT website on Wednesday, January 31 and will be held on February 1st. Time and callback info TBD.
