Kaya Camp

Kaya Camp is a vocalist, actor, and dancer from Atlanta, Ga. Already performing in front of family and audience members at the age of three, Kaya knew that performing was for her. She began performing in musicals, and by the age of 10 she was in her first film “The Lena Baker Story” playing the role of “Young Lena Baker”. Continuing her passion and hunger to perform she entered the “August Wilson Monologue Competition” and finalized to Nationals in NY City where she performed on a Broadway stage. She was on her first Tour of “B.A.P.S” the musical, but actor Natalie Desselle Reid who was also on the tour reprising her role as “Mickey” unfortunately had an untimely death and the tour was postponed. Kaya has studied Jazz voice/Acting at Howard University. When she’s not in on the stage, she’s in the classroom constantly redefining and modernizing self doubt and confidence with one simple thought: There isn’t a standard you have to reach, you are the standard. She knew that performing wasn’t the only way to express her theatrical passion. She has experience teaching Vocal lessons, Acting lessons, High School Social Studies, and Middle School Science.
