Adrienne Kelly-Lumpkin


After a dozen years in high-tech companies and 20 years owning a telecom business, Adrienne followed her passion and joined a non-profit organization in the education industry. She has volunteered in numerous capacities for Wake County public schools and is a strong advocate for public education. She is currently Chief Operating Officer of Communities in Schools of Wake County.

Adrienne has been recognized by the National Association of Women Business Owners, Greater Raleigh Chamber, YWCA Academy of Women, Wesleyan University and others for her leadership, advocacy and community service.

“My sweet spot is the intersection of education and the arts”, states Kelly-Lumpkin. In 2015, she served on the Raleigh Arts Plan Steering Committee to help develop the 10-year Creative Life vision for the city and serves on the United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County board. She has had a long relationship with RLT as subscriber, volunteer, class participant and parent of teens on and back stage.

Adrienne returns to the Raleigh Little Theatre board having previously served from 2001 to 2004. She is thrilled to be back in the theatre supporting its work in performance, education and community outreach.

Adrienne has a BA from Wesleyan University and MBA from Harvard University.
