Raleigh Little Theatre (RLT) exists to create and teach theatre in a way that serves our community, offers a place for all to live their best creative life, and embraces diverse stories, artists, and students in a meaningful and powerful way. To support our mission, we are looking for a part-time Box Office Supervisor to join our small team.
What you’ll do…
As the Box Office Supervisor, you will manage the overall day to day operations and activities of the box office and manage front of house volunteers for all theatre productions and events. Your work will include creating and maintaining RLT’s ticketing system, order forms, and ticket buyer database as well as training and scheduling box office staff. You will be responsible for the administrative oversight of ticket sales, reservations, and distribution, as well as support operations and development with sales reconciliation, donor benefits, and box office reporting. In coordination with the Marketing Manager, you will also establish and maintain box office policies and procedures.
Essential to the work we do at RLT is our community of volunteers, and in this position you will manage RLT’s front of house volunteer program. You will lead the recruitment, scheduling, training, and engagement of volunteers and prepare and coordinate set up for front of house operations for all productions and events. Through your leadership and collaboration with staff and volunteers, you will set the tone for the customer service experience at RLT.

You are organized, detail oriented, and excel at managing a variety of projects simultaneously. Demonstrated supervisory experience is preferred.
You have excellent customer service and communication skills, both oral and written, as well as the ability to effectively interact with individuals of varied ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
You have strong computer skills and the ability to use existing technology to achieve desired results. Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) databases or electronic ticketing systems is preferred. Cash handling experience is also preferred.

A few details…
Hours and location: RLT anticipates that this position will need approximately 20-29 hours per week. Regular box office hours are 12pm-5pm, Monday-Friday. We anticipate that this position will work 3 weekday box office shifts, with flexibility in scheduling for additional hours and tasks. Regular availability on weekday afternoons and on evenings and weekends in line with RLT’s performance schedule will be necessary. Weekday box office shifts will be on site at RLT, with some flexibility in working location for additional hours.
