Callback Date: Saturday, April 8, 2006 at 11:00 am Candide will be directed by long-time RLT Artistic Director, Haskell Fitz-Simons. The Musical Direction will be shared by Julie Flinchum and Nancy Whelan. The choreography will be directed by Nancy Rich. Those auditioning should prepare an appropriate song showing range, and if possible, comic timing. An accompanist will be provided. Readings from the script will take place at callbacks. Containing some of Bernstein’s most beautiful and challenging music for the stage, with lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, Candide follows the epic misadventures of the unfortunate Candide, a good-hearted but hopelessly naïve young innocent.
