Classes for 15-year-olds

Most of our classes focus on the process of creating theatre through fun, imaginative, nurturing, creative play and ensemble building. Some of our classes for the seasoned student are geared more toward performance. Teens can focus on a broad selection of disciplines, such as scene study, musical theatre, improvisation, make-up artistry, dance or Shakespeare. Each session of classes culminates in an Open Classroom to give parents and friends a taste of the participants’ everyday experience in the program.

Classes and workshops for teenagers aged 15:

Storytellers To Go!

Ages 13 - 18

Being a member of a traveling company is a great way to grow as an actor and as part of an ensemble. This year, Raleigh Little Theatre presents Red Vs. the Wolf by Judy Wolfman. We've all heard the story of Little Red Riding Hood. But how often has it been told from the Wolf's point of view? This kind, sensitive wolf is upset, for he has been criticized by society because of a story that has been repeated to generations of children. He is determined to tell the story as it really happened, of the true nature of Red Riding Hood and his own good intentions. This hilarious story will show your audience that there are two sides to everything. Entrance is by audition only. Limit 10 students.

Cost: $240
28 instructional hours plus 12 tour hours

Students rehearse September to January and perform in January and February.

Auditions: Saturday, September 13, 2:30 - 4:30 pm. Students should prepare a one minute monologue and come dressed for movement. See the Storytellers to Go! auditions page for character breakdowns and other details.
