Summer Theatre Program InstructorsPatsy Castellano hails originally from Dayton, Ohio where she earned an Associate Degree in Theatre Arts. After moving to North Carolina, Patsy earned a BFA in Dance from East Carolina University. Patsy has danced since the age of five and is currently using her skills at Hunter Elementary Gifted and Talented Magnet School where she teaches dance to students--Kindergarten through fifth grade. Patsy also enjoys choreographing plays for community theatre. Corrie Davis is a graduate of UNC Greensboro with a BFA in Theater Arts Education. She has taught for six years in various counties, currently in Durham County at Riverside High School, and is excited to be teaching for RLT. Barbette Hunter holds a BA in Speech/Communications from NC State University and did graduate work in Acting at UNC Greensboro. She has earned three performance awards and two technical theatre awards from RLT. As a professional actress, she has performed with numerous companies in the Triangle including the Justice Theatre Project, Raleigh Ensemble Players, Theatre in the Park and RLT. Barbette has been working with the RLT Education Program for several years. Rob Jenkins received a BA in Theatre Education from East Carolina University and studied the Meisner Acting Technique under Don Biehn. He is the drama teacher at Wendell G.T. Magnet Elementary School, where he also produces two musicals a year with his students. Susan Meyer is a native of Raleigh and was in the original cast of RLT’s Cinderella in 1984 and then again in 2002. Susan has worked with special needs children for several years and believes in adapting her classes to the specific needs of each student in that class. She has also worked with several other RLT classes this past school year. Jan Morgan is a graduate of Wake Forest University and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and received her MFA from Brown University. A teacher, actress and writer, Jan has worked with many Triangle organizations, including Raleigh Little Theatre, Actors Comedy Lab and Burning Coal Theatre Company. A life-long student of foreign languages, Jan teaches English as a Second Language at Wakelon Elementary. Julie Mulvihill has a Master of Arts in Dance Studies from UNC Greensboro where she now teaches part time. She also teaches at Arts Together and works independently as a dancer and choreographer. Lisa Patterson is a creative movement teacher with BA and BS degrees from NC State University. She has been teaching camps for RLT for many years. Kristy Prawdzik-Rupright is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee in Education and Counseling, and received her Teacher Certification from Fayetteville State University. She has taught preschool, elementary, middle school and college students and currently teaches children with autism for Wake County Public Schools. Lucius Robinson has worked around the Triangle theatre scene with Manbites Dog Theater, The Little Green Pig Theatrical Concern, Burning Coal Theatre Company, Raleigh Little Theatre, DeepDish Theater and with The Delta Boys. He has trained with the Guthrie Theatre BFA, the Dell’Arte School of Physical Theater and with RADA. Kathleen Rudolph has been working with the RLT Education Program for the past twelve years. After receiving her BA in Communication Arts from Marist College, she continued her theatre education at Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and Herbert Bergdoff Studios in New York City. Besides being a theatre instructor, Kathleen is also an actor and director (The Emperor’s New Clothes, Miss Nelson Is Missing, Petite Rouge, A Cajun Red Riding Hood and The Reluctant Dragon). Staci Sabarsky is a graduate of the University of North Carolina with a BA in Dramatic Arts. She is a local actress who has worked on 18 RLT productions as well as performing with other local theatres. Staci is experienced in many aspects of theatre including set construction, stage management and directing. Her education, skills and creativity allow her to teach young people the importance and value that theatre brings to society. Mary Kathryn Walston has a Masters Degree in Music from Meredith College. She is a singer, actress and private voice instructor. Mary Kathryn has been working with the RLT Youth Program for several years and has been the Musical Director for Sleeping Beauty, Miss Nelson is Missing, Petite Rouge, A Cajun Red Riding Hood and Baba Yaga and the Black Sunflower. Linda O’Day Young is an actress, director, storyteller and playwright who has been teaching drama for 24 years. She has been on the faculty of seven theatres in five states, working with ages 18 months to 94 years! She has a BA degree with post-graduate training from the University of Maryland and the Studio Theatre Acting Conservatory in Washington, D.C. Linda has appeared in several RLT shows. Her directing credits include Sleeping Beauty, James and the Giant Peach, Pinocchio and Baba Yaga and the Black Sunflower.
