Get the Part in that Musical (full-day camp)

For ages 14–18

All musical theatre directors want the same thing: a singer who can act and an actor who can sing. This intensive and fun auditioning camp will help you give them what they want and help you get what you want ...that part! Whether you are just starting out or want to refresh your skills, you will gain a new confidence in your audition abilities. In the mornings students will focus on singing, song interpretation, building an audition book, pictures and resumes, as well as audition etiquette. In the afternoon students will learn how to be successful at cold readings in the audition process. No previous experience necessary. Limit 16 students.

August 9–13, 9:30am–4pm

Make A Real Scene (half-day camp)

For ages 14–18

Sometimes characters don’t play nicely together. Sometimes a scene involves stage violence such as falls, rolls, punches, hand-to-hand combat and combat with weaponry. The trick is making the physical act seem real to the audience but at the same time, making sure it is safe for the actors. In this exciting camp students will use scripted scenes to explore character development and to learn stage combat skills. Participants need to wear comfortable exercise clothing and closed-toe shoes. No previous experience necessary. Limit 14 students.

August 9–13, 12:30–5pm
Instructor: David McClutchey

Cost: $170

To enroll, please send in the registration form (PDF)
