Teens on Stage

For ages 13–18

This intensive five week theatre program culminates in 15 performances of The Great Cross Country Race, which opens Raleigh Little Theatre’s 2010–2011 Season. TOS students take morning conservatory classes which include movement, acting, voice and improvisation. The afternoons are spent in rehearsal.

About the TOS play: This summer’s play is The Great Cross Country Race by Alan Broadhurst. The play presents a behind the scenes look at the classic race between the slow-moving Tortoise and the scatter-brained Hare as they make their way through a world of confusing, foolish and unintelligible humans. The script offers wonderful and challenging roles for teen actors.

About the TOS auditions: Audition information is now available. All candidates must come prepared to present a contemporary one minute monologue and participate in theatre exercises, which demonstrate flexibility in physical and vocal expression. Please wear clothing which allows for freedom of movement. Call-backs will consist of cold readings from the script.
