Pickle Jar Players

The Pickle Jar Players is a part of RLT's Outreach Program. It is a group of volunteer actors bringing exciting Readers' Theatre performances to schools and community groups. The actors, primarily in their senior years, have extensive theatrical experience and Raleigh Little Theatre is honored to have them as outreach ambassadors. Not only are their presentations entertaining but many of them offer rich material for discussion as well.

The Pickle Jar Players presents short stories and poetry to a host of diverse groups: schools (K-12), retirement centers, nursing homes, and libraries. Recently, the group entertained a class of autistic students and in the winter they will take a program to the Women's Prison.

The following RLT volunteers comprise the Pickle Jar Players: Bunny Safron and Patsy Clarke co-directors, Helen Crisp. Bob Dean, Jerry Zieman, Jack Safron, Becky Meyer and Harvey Sage.
